Each guest room has been newly remodeled with beautiful furnishings and the most up-to-date amenities. All rooms have a private bathroom, televisions are tucked away in armoires handcrafted by a local woodworker, in-room telephones and Internet access in most of the rooms make it easy to communicate with the outside world, but most of our guests prefer communing with nature in one of our terry cloth robes from a comfortable chair overlooking the river.
 
The 1740 House has the following rooms available for your stay.

a 1 Grand Suite with 180 degree views of the river from the Second Floor of the Main House. The Suite includes a Living area, Dining area and Bedroom with King Size Bed, Private Bath, Private Balcony, Television, Phone, Heat/Cool

 

a 1 Junior Suite with King Size Bed, Sitting area, Small Dining area, Private Bath, Private Terrace, Television, Phone, Heat/Cool

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

Check-In any time after 2:00 pm
Check-Out is 11:00 am.

Late check-outs can be arranged for an additional charge. 11:00 am to
2:00 pm a half day room rate charge. After 2:00 pm a full day room
rate charge will be added.

Room rates includes Continental Breakfast.

April through October a two night minimum is required if staying Saturday night.

Remote controlled fireplaces are operational October through April.

1740 House Country Inn is dedicated to an environment that is relaxing and renewing. We do not have accommodations for children under the age of 18.
We do not allow pets in the rooms or on the property. No open flames,
candles, incense or electrical burners are permitted in the rooms. If an item breaks or is damaged during your stay please notify the office immediately. Depending on the severity of the damage the guest may be charged a fee
to replace the damaged item. It is unlawful in this county to create noise at
such a level for such duration that the noise unreasonably interferes with
other guests or neighbors and the comfortable enjoyment of their property.

Additional persons joining registered guest on the property will be charged a $20.00 per person fee.

NO SMOKING
This is also a Non-Smoking establishment. Smoking is permitted on the patios, balconies and around the pool area. Violators of this policy will have a $250.00 cleaning charge added to their bill.

PLEASE NOTE
Pennsylvania State Liquor Law prohibits the consumption
of alcoholic beverages not served by the 1740 House.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations will be charged a $20 processing fee per room. Cancellations made 7 days prior to the reservation will be charged a processing fee per room. Cancellations made with in 7 days of reservation will be charged a half day room rate for each day canceled. No shows will be charged for the full reservation. Should it be necessary for a guests to depart earlier than the confirmed departure date, or alter reservation in anyway, guests will be responsible for the full amount of the intended stay unless the Inn is able to rebook. Any alterations to confirmed reservations are subject to a $20 / room processing fee.
